People with different types of disabilities such as visual impairment, hearing impairment, mobility impairment, and dementia have different needs.


Physical medical requirements:

People with disabilities have physical and medical needs

People with cerebral palsy are physically dependent on others. The physical and medical needs of the disabled can be met to some extent by training them with the skills they need to live life to the fullest and by providing them with the tools and equipment they need.

Educational Needs:

Children with disabilities can receive an education through the support services needed in a special school or general school.

  • Teachers who provide education must be specially trained
  • Equipment for education and disability should be provided

Example:

Support should be provided for visually impaired people to read Braille, record tapes, readable capital letters as well as for the hearing impaired to communicate through sign language.

Utilizing the teaching methods needed to teach depending on the child’s intellectual level disability

People with disabilities who can provide the above requirements can become educated. If not, at least they can get the basic education they need for life, academically trained

Vocational Needs:

The main purpose of education is to make man fit to live. It causes financial independence. Depending on the nature of the person with the disability, the interests, the wishes of the parents, the training facility that the disabled person agrees to train in, the specialized professions should be selected based on the availability of trained teachers and other professionals.

For a person with a disability after training, it is very important to provide lucrative employment.



Empowerment needs:

Depending on the nature of the person's disability and its extent, training may be required in the activities required of the individual's life

Example: Toileting, Eating, Dressing, Mobility, and Speech

It allows the child to stand on his own two feet and turn around at home and around the house.

Dependence is the opposite of what creates the opposite feeling. To eliminate this the qualified teacher must provide the child with the education or training necessary equipment to live independently according to his scope.
